Importance of Fulfilling Agreements In Islam

We Should Remember that the politics of Islam is based on truth only. Hypocrisy and dodge has nothing to do with Islam and Islamic teachings prohibits them strongly. If you have made agreement even with some non Muslims or enemies you should fulfill those agreements. As a Muslim you are not allowed to break that agreement even if they are confronting with other groups of Muslims unless they break the agreement themselves.

It is mentioned in the following verse of Quran: And as to those who believed but did not emigrate (to you O Muhammad SAW), you owe no duty of protection to them until they emigrate, but if they seek your help in religion, it is your duty to help them except against a people with whom you have a treaty of mutual alliance, and Allh is the All-Seer of what you do. (Al-Anfal 8:72)

So if it is decided to have peace treaty or negotiation with some one or some groups it should not be violated. Muslims should not be happy on any of these violation due to feeling of hatred towards some people or groups. They should be just in their actions even with their enemies as mentioned in Quran:

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allh and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allh. Verily, Allh is Well Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Ma'idah 5:8)

Those verses of Holy Quran Makes it clear how Important it is to fulfill the agreements and not break them or violate them unless other party do it.
