Former Archbishop of Canterbury warns against 'Muslim mass immigration to Europe'

"The frustration for those of us who have been calling for compassion for Syrian victims for many months is that the Christian community is yet again left at the bottom of the heap... Britain should make Syrian Christians a priority... We are a Christian nation with an established Church so Syrian Christians will find no challenge to integration...

"There has been too much Muslim mass immigration to Europe. Isn't it high-time instead for the oil-rich Gulf States to open their doors to the many Muslims who are fleeing conflict? Surely if they are concerned for fellow Muslims who prefer to live in Muslim-majority countries, then they have a moral responsibility to intervene...

"It is, of course, quite right that Europe has woken to the sheer scale of human suffering in Syria. It is equally right that our compassionate instincts will drive us to fund-raise and campaign for the innocent victims of the conflict. But that compassion must be realistic and clear-headed."

Lord George Carey, Former Archbishop of Canterbury

It is reassuring to hear a Christian leader speak so forthrightly abut the dangers of Muslim Mass Immigration, and the need for the Christian West to care for the Christian victims.

Britain Has a Duty to Rescue Syria's Christians
by George Carey, the Telegraph via AINA, September 6, 2015:

The dramatic and disturbing developments of the past few days have introduced a new, heart-rending dimension to this refugee crisis. Undoubtedly, the most disturbing aspect is just how impotent Europe is proving itself to be. If the EU is not resilient in the face of this disaster, it could be torn apart.

I can't help thinking of Corporal Jones's catchphrase -- "Don't panic!" But even the Germans are panicking as Angela Merkel, in a desperate attempt to cajole her fellow European leaders into accepting binding quotas, has declared open season for up to 800,000 Syrians to come to Germany.

Isn't it a bit rich for the Germans to criticise other nations, including Britain, for failing to accept refugees? For years, our warm-hearted land has consistently accepted more asylum-seekers than Germany.

Besides, it would be a mistake to give way to bullying calls to immediately open our doors to tens of thousands of refugees. We are a small island and recent immigration figures are highly disturbing. Last year, a net figure of 330,000 people settled among us -- more than the population of Sunderland. Imagine this continuing, year after year.

Alas, the signal that Germany is opening its doors to this influx will make Europe into an even more attractive magnet for those who are genuine refugees -- but also to floods of economic migrants, most of whom are young men travelling alone. We don't even know how many of these have been combatants in the civil war.

If some of what I say sounds harsh or, heaven forbid, a touch unchristian, let me make it clear that I welcome David Cameron's announcement to allow thousands more to enter Britain through refugee camps in Syria's neighbouring countries. In the long term, this strategy will cut out the traffickers and reduce the risk of the sea and land journeys.

But the frustration for those of us who have been calling for compassion for Syrian victims for many months is that the Christian community is yet again left at the bottom of the heap.

According to the Barnabas Fund, a charity which recently resettled some 50 Syrian Christian families in Poland, Mr Cameron's policy inadvertently discriminates against the very Christian communities most victimised by the inhuman butchers of the so-called Islamic State. Christians are not to be found in the UN camps, because they have been attacked and targeted by Islamists and driven from them. They are seeking refuge in private homes, church buildings and with neighbours and family.

They are the most vulnerable and repeatedly targeted victims of this conflict. Indeed, a hundred years after the Armenian and Assyrian genocide, in which over a million Christians are estimated to have been killed by Ottoman Muslims, the same is happening today in the form of an ethnic cleansing of Christians in the region. Christians have been crucified, beheaded, raped, and subjected to forced conversion. The so-called Islamic State and other radical groups are openly glorifying the slaughter of Christians.

Britain should make Syrian Christians a priority because they are a particularly vulnerable group. Furthermore, we are a Christian nation with an established Church so Syrian Christians will find no challenge to integration. The churches are already well-prepared and eager to offer support and accommodation to those escaping the conflict.

Some will not like me saying this, but in recent years, there has been too much Muslim mass immigration to Europe. This has resulted in ghettos of Muslim communities living parallel lives to mainstream society, following their own customs and even their own laws. Isn't it high-time instead for the oil-rich Gulf States to open their doors to the many Muslims who are fleeing conflict? Surely if they are concerned for fellow Muslims who prefer to live in Muslim-majority countries, then they have a moral responsibility to intervene.

It is, of course, quite right that Europe has woken to the sheer scale of human suffering in Syria. It is equally right that our compassionate instincts will drive us to fund-raise and campaign for the innocent victims of the conflict. But that compassion must be realistic and clear-headed.

As a European Union, we should be prepared to close the doors to large numbers of economic migrants and return them to their countries. A proper process of registration must be conducted, ideally in refugee camps on the borders of Europe. And if the numbers get too large, we should be prepared to admit refugees on a provisional and temporary basis, reviewing their status periodically until they can return home.

It's not enough to send aid to refugee camps in the Middle East. There must be renewed military and diplomatic efforts to crush the twin menaces of Islamic State and al-Qaeda once and for all. Make no mistake: this may mean air strikes and other British military assistance to create secure and safe enclaves in Syria.

Report: Hundreds of UK Muslims have returned home from Jihad in Syria

About 350 individuals are considered to be under the category of significant concern after returning from Syria... British authorities are arresting one suspected terrorist every day.

by Jordan Schachtel, Breitbart News May 14, 2015

Over 700 potential terrorists have left the United Kingdom in order to carry out jihad in the Middle East, according to Londons Metropolitan Police Service, also known as Scotland Yard. Alarmingly, about half of the jihadis have now returned to the UK, reports have stated.

About 350 individuals are considered to be under the category of significant concern after returning from Syria. On average, British authorities are arresting one suspected terrorist every day, Sky News reports.

Assistant Police Commissioner Mark Rowley, a British counterterrorism official, said about half of those who were suspected of having been involved in illegal overseas acts are coming from Syria. The number of people who have travelled to Syria has passed 700, in terms of those who are of significant concern to us and the security services, said Rowley.

They are not aid workers or visiting relatives they are people of real concern that they are getting involved in fighting or are supportive of if. They are potential terrorist suspects, he explained.

Rowley was asked how many of the individuals in question have returned home to Britain. It is a fairly even balance between those still out there and those who have come back, he answered.

Scotland Yard figures show that 338 people were arrested on terrorism charges in 2014/15, which is one-third higher than the year before.

The UK government announced a new plan yesterday to tackle Islamic fundamentalism with extremism disruption orders, such as closing down recreation centers used as recruiting grounds for potential jihadis, the UKs Mirror reports.

Prime Minister David Cameron said that the new strategy is part of a promise to tackle head-on the poisonous Islamist extremist ideology.

Islam rapidly forcing out Christianity in the UK

Muslim Conquest of the UK: Friday Prayers in London
(London, April 25, 2014)
Islam is rapidly forcing out Christianity in the UK, reports Sedmitza.ru. As Christian churches in the United Kingdom are quickly losing parishioners, the Muslim community is growing with unprecedented speed. And though the society sometimes sees a threat in Islam, British Muslims lay claim to an active role in the country's life.

Analysis of results of the population census has shown that Islam may become the dominant religion in the country as early as in ten years. Over the last decade the number of British Muslims has doubled, and the name "Muhammad" has become the most popular name in London.

The average age of a British Muslim is about 26 years old. The Muslim population in the UK is extremely young; it is full of energy, life and dynamics. Great Britain is an innovator in many areas. It will become the first non-Muslim country to introduce financial bonds, available for purchase by Muslim investors.

The English Law Society has recently issued a manual on will making according to sharia laws since there is a great demand for such documents. A new analysis of the latest census, carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), has shown that the Church of England is losing its importance half as fast again as it was supposed earlier. Increase of the average age of parishioners means that the official religion of Great Britain has lost over four million of its followers since 2001.

England's Death Spiral: Empty churches with aging congregations.

"The decline that churches in Great Britain have been experiencing for a long time, has now apparently reached its critical point. 95% of the people do not go to the church on Sundays. Christian services are attended by a minority of the population," comments the chief executive of the British Humanist Association Andrew Copson. These figures have prompted the British prime-minister David Cameron to attempt to support the fundamentals of the Church of England institution. He has called upon Christians to be more ardent in preaching their faith and noted "the healing power of the Church". There is a tradition among Christian communities all over Great Britain to perform a "Passion Play" on Great Friday before Easter.

Suffering (passions) and death of Christ in the crucifixion are glorified in this play. One of such performances took place on the Trafalgar Square in London this year, but in Oxford the performance was cancelled: the official responsible for considering applications thought that the "Passion Play" was an erotic performance.

This once again proves that even individuals invested with power are not always aware of what Christians all over the world in fact celebrate.

Westminster Abbey praises Allah, acknowledges Muhammad, in heretical prayers

Peace be upon all auspicious prophets of God, from Adam, Noah and Abraham to Moses, Jesus and Mohammed Mustafa... Prayer read at Westminster Abbey, England

Where will they place the minarets?

A curious, and at times troubling analysis (as when he says "there's no real problem" with thanking Allah, the name of the false, Islamic deity), by the Anglican archbishop, but thankfully, he strongly makes several critical points in his conclusion.

Of all the disturbing news about Islam in the UK, because of its theological nature, this one may be Britain's virtual death knell.

Westminster Abbey acknowledges Muhammad in succession of prophets
Archbishop Cranmer, via Pravoslavie May 1, 2015

That wasnt quite how the prayer was rendered in Westminster Abbey during the service of commemoration and thanksgiving marking the centenary of the Gallipoli campaign a bloody and disease-ridden battle of attrition during the First World War, which helped to forge the national identities of both Australia and New Zealand (not to mention the rise of Mustafa Kemal [aka Atatrk] and the establishment of the modern state of Turkey). In the presence of the Queen, the great and the good gave thanks to God for the Anzac spirit of endurance, courage, ingenuity, good humour, larrikinism, and mateship, with which the British feel undoubted kinship, and for the sacrifice of which by so many we remain eternally grateful.

God was thanked in the Abbey, and so was Allah. Theres no real problem with that, for Allah is simply Arabic for The God, and the term used by many millions of Arabic Christians throughout the centuries in reference to The God that made the world and all things therein, he, being Lord of heaven and earth (Acts 17:24). We may quibble over conflicting doctrines and cavil over contradictory revelations, but if St Paul can address a meeting of the Areopagus and exhort the incipient virtue in the ignorance of Athenian religiosity, whether you call the Creator of the universe God, Jehovah, YHWH, I Am or Allah, you are acknowledging (in mirrors darkly) the One who does not live in temples built by human hands, and the One who gives everyone life and breath and everything else.

But this is the prayer the congregation heard:

Its hard to be offended by something one cannot understand. And there can be no offence at all caused by any exhortation of God in Turkish, for God is not an Englishman. But in the translated succession of prophets is a comprehensible assertion of Islamic theology which errs (to put it mildly), and may cause some theological disquiet (putting it milder still). The succession of prophets from Adam, Noah and Abraham to Moses, Jesus and Mohammed Mustafa is chronological: the first four are common to the prophetology of Judaism, Christianity and Islam; Jesus as a prophet is common to Christianity and Islam (with disparity over priest and king); and Mohammed is a prophet of Islam alone (indeed, The Prophet). Mustafa is an epithet ascribed by Muslims to Mohammed: it means The Chosen One (and note that the Abbey did not offer a translation of this term, which, rendered in English during a Christian service, would have caused undoubted offence).

For Christians, of course, it is Jesus who is the Anointed of God; the Christ; the Messiah; the Chosen One. Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles (Isa 42:1 cf Mt 12:18). When He was baptised, ..the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased (Lk 3:22).

[By way of reminder, Jesus Christ is not merely the "Anointed of God," but the very Son of God Himself, the Word (Logos) of God and Second Person of the Holy Trinity, Who at a specific time and place in human history became incarnate, and was crucified and buried, and Who rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand the Father... and Whose Kingdom shall have no end. The Virgin Mary is not merely Christokos, she is Theotokos!]

In Islamic theology, Mohammed was The Prophet who came to fulfil and complete the partial revelations of all preceding prophets. Muslims believe that his coming was prophesied by Jesus: But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father.. (Jn 15:26). The Comforter or Advocate (NIV) whom Christians believe to be the Holy Spirit is, for Muslims, Mohammed. So when he is declared in Westminster Abbey to be The Chosen One, it is not simply a benign multifaith expression of ecumenical respect in a commemorative service of reconciliation: it is a dogmatic affirmation of a perfected prophethood to which Jesus is subordinate, and His divinity thereby denied.

It may not be very PC or neighbourly or conducive to interfaith relations to say it, but Mohammed was a false prophet (Jer 14:14-16; 1Jn 4:1; Acts 4:12; 2Cor 11:3f). By rejecting the crucifixion and denying the resurrection of Christ (who is not the Chosen One), Islam espouses another Jesus, another spirit and another gospel. They are and ought to remain free to proclaim their religiosity, however false and erroneous it may be. But not, please God, in The Collegiate Church of St Peter (aka Westminster Abbey), which is a Royal Peculiar of the Supreme Governor.

EU Underestimates Number of Westerners Fighting for Jihad

Almost 1,500 French citizens have traveled to Syria to join jihadi groups - putting the number of Europeans fighting in the Middle East at around 6,000.

However this figure, according to Czech European Commissioner for Justice, Vera Jourov, could be a big underestimate.

Sputnik News April 13, 2015

Vera Jourov told French newspaper Le Figaro that despite official estimates, between 5,000 and 6,000 EU nationals had traveled to Syria, and that number could be "highly undervalued" because of the difficulty of tracking foreign fighters abroad.
Related: French PM Says 10,000 Europeans could be Fighting for ISIL by Year-End.

EU Must Understand Extremism

Recently, Turkish security officials were handed a list of ten thousand potential names of people who might attempt to use the country's border to enter Syria.

And it's Turkey's geographical position and long border it shares with Syria and Iraq that makes the country such a convenient transit point for western foreign fighters crossing the border to join Islamic State extremists.

Counter-terrorism expert, Professor Hamed El-Said from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, says controlling the border "requires enormous amount of human, financial and military resources, which no one country alone can bear and countries must share intelligence."

However, in order to tackle radicalization and prevent more European citizens from traveling to Turkey to join Islamic State, Professor El-Said says that European countries need to: "develop a better understanding for conditions conducive to radicalisation and extremism that lead individuals to commit a violent extremist act, either nationally or in foreign countries."

Anglican Vicar defiles his church, commits apostasy, by holding Muslim prayer service, praising "the god that we love, Allah."

How deeply tragic is the stampede to Christian apostasy in the West.

The church in which this act happened is now defiled. If such a blasphemous act were to be performed in an Orthodox church, the priest would be immediately suspended and defrocked, and the defiled church would be closed until an exorcism could be performed and the church could be re-consecrated by the bishops.

Why so stern a reaction?

First of all, Muslims do not worship the True God; they reject Jesus Christ and the Blessed Trinity. We do not pray to the same God, how then could we pray together?

This does not mean that we hate or reject Muslims. Far from it! We invite them to "come and see," to learn about the real Jesus Christ (who is very different from the vague character of "Isa" in the Koran), and to come to know the True God through Christ. They are invited to attend Orthodox Christian services, but as inquirers or, if they are sincere in leaving their false religion and being united to the Lord Jesus Christ, they may become catechumens. Before their baptism, they will be solemnly asked three times to renounce satan. When you are embracing the Light, you must leave all darkness behind.

Secondly, the Christian church is a symbol of the heavenly Jerusalem. Therefore only Christian worship may be performed in it. The altar in a Christian temple is a type of the heavenly altar. Upon it, the bloodless sacrifice of the Eucharist is performed, mystically uniting the worshipping congregation into the presence of Christ's sacrifice on the Cross. In light of this, how could an anti-Christian service be allowed to be conducted in a Christian temple?

Thirdly, the priest is not merely a celebrant, and is certainly not free to add, adapt or improvise services according to his fancy, but is a servant of Christ, and represents Christ to the congregation. He is the one who performs the eucharistic service, distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful. If he tries to mingle falsehood with truth, he is proving he is not a good shepherd but a hireling (perhaps even a wolf!), and self-condemned, he excommunicates himself from the life of the Church, he betrays Christ all over again.

Then there are the words of St Paul:
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? [2 Corinthians 6:14-16]

That Rev. Giles Goddard has so flagrantly violated Christian dogma, scripture, and liturgical praxis and theology that he has committed nearly the grossest apostasy imaginable. He has willingly, of his own design and choice, brought into the church the "abomination which causes desolation." He has turned a church into a mosque. His very salvation is in grave danger if he does not repent of this blasphemy. He has done willingly that to which his forefathers would have preferred death.

No doubt Rev. Goddard is sincere, but he is sincerely deluded.  He believes in and worships his own wisdom in going beyond Christ. He also proves his abject ignorance regarding Islam, which is the quintessential anti-Christian heresy, as seen in the Quranic texts below.

The root word for heresy means "to choose." Giles Goddard is a heretic, as is everyone who chooses to believe and act upon the "Same God" heresy. May he be brought to repentance and united to Christ's Church.

We can't tell from the news story below if the traditionalist Anglicans are scandalized by this for the correct reasons. It is mentioned that the act was "against canon law" and "completely illegal," but is there any sense in the Anglican church as to WHY?  Or is this another symptom, along with women priestesses and bishops and same-sex marriage, of the growing apostasy of the Anglican communion?

Thankfully, there are some positive examples coming out of the Church of England as well.

UK: Anglican vicar holds Muslim prayer service in his church, asks congregation to praise the god that we love, Allah
by Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch, March 13, 2015

When Giles Goddard painted that cross on his church building, and had one placed on his forehead, was he aware of this hadith?

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allahs Apostle said, By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary (Jesus) will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims) as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya (a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government). Then there will be abundance of money and no-body will accept charitable gifts.' (Bukhari 3.34.425)

Did the Muslim prayer service include any of these Quran readings?

Christians have forgotten part of the divine revelations they received: From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done. Quran 5:14
Jesus is not the Son of God: O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not Three Cease! (it is) better for you! Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. Quran 4:171
It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, Be, and it is. Quran 19:35
Those who believe that Jesus is Gods Son are accursed: The Jews call Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allahs curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! Quran 9:30
Those who believe in the divinity of Christ are unbelievers: They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth? And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is over all things competent. Quran 5:17
They have certainly disbelieved who say, Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary while the Messiah has said, O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Indeed, he who associates others with Allah Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. Quran 5:72
Jesus was not crucified: And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allahs messenger they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. Quran 4:157

Meanwhile, Arabic-speaking Christians use the word Allah for the God of the Bible, but Goddard has something different in mind: the equation of the God of the Bible with Allah of the Quran, as per Quran 29:46, and in defiance of all the above Quran quotes and more.

Under fire, vicar who said we love Allah': Liberal clergyman attacked by traditional Anglicans for allowing full Muslim prayer service in his Church,
by Chris Pleasance, MailOnline, March 12, 2015:

A leading liberal clergyman has come under fire from traditionalist Anglicans after allowing a full Muslim prayer service in his church.

Reverend Giles Goddard, vicar of St Johns in Waterloo, central London, joined in the event by reading a passage from the Bible at the Inclusive Mosque event.

He then asked the congregation to praise the god that we love, Allah, it was reported last night.

It is thought to be the first time an entire Islamic service has been held by the Church of England and has sparked criticism from evangelical clerics.

Orthodox clergyman said the event was against canon law, which prohibits any divergence from the official liturgy.

They argued that it could be offensive to Christians who are persecuted for their faith.

Rev Goddard defended his decision to hold the event, describing it as a very moving service. He said his intention was simply to offer people a place to pray.

He told the Christian Today website that everything his church did was legal and within bishops guidelines.

He added: It is very much about St Johns being a place of welcome. We understand God as a generous God, a God who celebrates love and celebrates life.

We try and make sure we live that out. In that sense we feel very properly Anglican.

The Inclusive Jummah was held in partnership with the Inclusive Mosque Initiative.

It was organised to coincide with the run-up to International Womens Day last weekend.

The service was arranged by Dr Amina Wadud, a campaigner for gender justice in Islam.

Rev Goddard said the service had not put off Christian churchgoers and his congregation is growing.
He told the Daily Telegraph: We are offering a place for people to pray so it made absolutely perfect sense. We should be offering [a place] to party, we are the Church of England.

They could have gone to a community centre, I suppose, but they loved being in a church, they were just really pleased and delighted to have the welcome and it was very moving, really. It is the same God, we share the same tradition.

At the end of the service, the vicar read a section of Psalm 139 and said: This is from the Hebrew scripture we all share these great traditions, so let us celebrate our shared traditions, by giving thanks to the God that we love, Allah.

Rev Stephen Kuhrt, vicar of Christ Church, New Malden, said: I am appalled by islamophobia and when people whip up anti-Muslim frenzy, but the vicar of St Johns Waterloo has done something that is completely illegal, which is to allow an Islamic service to be held in his church, and then he has participated as well.

'Islam can be a violent faith', says Queens chaplain

Rev. Canon Ashenden expresses concerns about 100 passages in the Koran that "invite people to violence," and says, "If youre going to invite people to be dedicated followers of their scriptures, Christians will go around forgiving people and Islamists will do something else."

AXIOS!  This is all that we wish to see, Christian clergy, educators and leaders simply speaking the truth about Islam without varnish, without acrimony, and especially without offering the false platitude that ISIS, Boko Haram, al-Qaeda, the Taliban and other Islamic jihadist groups "have nothing to do with Islam."

by Jack Doyle, Daily Mail, March 12, 2015:
h/t Jihad Watch

The honest and forthright Rev. Gavin Ashenden, Chaplain to H.R.H. Elizabeth II

There are passages in the Koran which invite people to violence, one of the Queens chaplains said last night.

Reverend Canon Gavin Ashenden, the former chaplain of Sussex University and one of 35 who serve Her Majesty, expressed concern about more than 100 passages in the Muslim holy book.

But the Church of England priest declined to say whether parts of the Koran are evil, instead advising people to make up their own minds.

_______

Robert Spencer over at Jihad Watch helpfully posted a small sampling of those 100 or so passages, with Koran citations:
2:191-193 And slay them wherever you come upon them, and expel them from where they expelled you; persecution is more grievous than slaying. But fight them not by the Holy Mosque until they should fight you there; then, if they fight you, slay them such is the recompense of unbelievers, but if they give over, surely Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. Fight them, till there is no persecution and the religion is Allahs; then if they give over, there shall be no enmity save for evildoers.
4:34 Men are the managers of the affairs of women for that Allah has preferred in bounty one of them over another, and for that they have expended of their property. Righteous women are therefore obedient, guarding the secret for Allahs guarding. And those you fear may be rebellious admonish; banish them to their couches, and beat them. If they then obey you, look not for any way against them; Allah is All-high, All-great.
4:89 They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of Allah; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper.
5:33 This is the recompense of those who fight against Allah and His Messenger, and hasten about the earth, to do corruption there: they shall be slaughtered, or crucified, or their hands and feet shall alternately be struck off; or they shall be banished from the land. That is a degradation for them in this world; and in the world to come awaits them a mighty chastisement.
8:12 When thy Lord was revealing to the angels, I am with you; so confirm the believers. I shall cast into the unbelievers hearts terror; so smite above the necks, and smite every finger of them!'
8:39 Fight them, till there is no persecution and the religion is Allahs entirely; then if they give over, surely Allah sees the things they do.
8:60 Make ready for them whatever force and strings of horses you can, to terrify thereby the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides them that you know not; Allah knows them. And whatsoever you expend in the way of Allah shall be repaid you in full; you will not be wronged.
9:5 Then, when the sacred months are drawn away, slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them, and confine them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then let them go their way; Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.
9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden such men as practise not the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book until they pay the tribute out of hand and have been humbled.
9:111 Allah has bought from the believers their selves and their possessions against the gift of Paradise; they fight in the way of Allah; they kill, and are killed; that is a promise binding upon Allah in the Torah, and the Gospel, and the Koran; and who fulfils his covenant truer than Allah? So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him; that is the mighty triumph.
9:123 O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you; and let them find in you a harshness; and know that Allah is with the godfearing.
47:4 When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads. So it shall be; and if Allah had willed, He would have avenged Himself upon them; but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will not send their works astray.

He was responding to comments by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who warned this week about being too quick to brand people with strong religious views extremists.

Yesterday, more than 60 imams and leaders of Muslim groups signed an open letter to the Government accusing it of criminalising Islam.

They claimed the terror threat was being exploited for political capital ahead of the election, as the big parties inevitably try to outdo each other in their nastiness.

The signatories, which included journalist Yvonne Ridley and former Guantanamo detainee Moazzam Begg, criticised the demonisation of Muslims in Britain despite their disavowal of violence and never having supported terrorist acts.

"I was attracted to Christianity because it invites people to the extremity of forgiveness and love."

Rev Ashenden was responding to comments by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby who has reportedly claimed young people are turning to jihad because mainstream religion is not exciting.

The Archbishop said Britains religious communities needed to do more to provide an alternative to extremism that gives youngsters a purpose in life.

But Rev Ashenden told LBC radio he was attracted to Christianity because it invites people to the extremity of forgiveness and love.

He added: Islam has, I think, over 100 verses inviting people to violence in the Koran which Christianity doesnt have.

If youre going to invite people to be dedicated followers of their scriptures, Christians will go around forgiving people and Islamists will do something else.

"If they are offended by my quoting the Koran they are not offended by me, they are offended by the Koran."

Presenter Iain Dale said Muslims would say Islam was entirely peaceful, but Rev Ashenden said parts of the Koran tell you to kill your enemies.

He then quoted verses which he said urged Muslims to strike off the heads of those who disbelieve.

When warned his comments could offend Muslims, he said: If they are offended by my quoting the Koran they are not offended by me, they are offended by the Koran.

He added: If youre going to talk about excitement in Christianity its about delivering people from evil and transforming peoples lives.

Asked whether he would describe certain parts of the Koran as evil, he said: I notice that they invite people to violence. Ill let other people decide whether thats good or evil.

National Review: 'Heaven In The Face Of Hell'

The families of 21 Coptic Christians martyred in Libya showed a gratitude not of this world.

by Kathryn Jean Lopez
National Review, February 23, 2015

Twenty-one Egyptian Coptic Christians were slaughtered on a beach in Libya a week ago. And even in his mourning, the brother of two of them gave thanks.

Beshir Kamel, brother of both Bishoy Astafanus Kamel, who was 25, and Somaily Astafanus Kamel, who was 23, thanked their murderers for not editing out the name of their Savior when disseminating the video of their beheadings.

Appearing on an Arabic Christian television station, Kamel said that the families of the men, laborers who were working in Libya in order to provide for their families 13 of them from the same small, impoverished village were congratulating one another. We are proud to have this number of people from our village who have become martyrs, he explained.

Who would have an ounce of gratitude at such a moment? The answer: one who has hope hope of something real and eternal.

It sounds crazy to a modern secular society, one that tends to view religious faith as sentiment, comfort, and milestone ritual.

Kamel said: Since the Roman era, Christians have been martyred and have learned to handle everything that comes our way. This only makes us stronger in our faith because the Bible told us to love our enemies and bless those who curse us. And he relayed what his mother had said, when asked what she would do if she ever met the man who had beheaded her son. My mother, an uneducated woman in her sixties, said she would ask [him] to enter her house and ask God to open his eyes because he was the reason her son entered the kingdom of heaven.

Thats no mere sentiment, comfort, or ritual. While its unlikely that the Kamels mother will face that day, Christians throughout the world have the ability to take action.

In his response to the news from Libya, His Grace Bishop Angaelos, general bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom, explained: While it may seem illogical or incomprehensible, we also pray for those who have carried out these horrific crimes, that the value of Gods creation and human life may become more evident to them, and in this realization, that the wider effects of pain brought by this and other acts of brutality may be realized and avoided. We pray for an end to the dehumanization of captives who become mere commodities to be bartered, traded, and negotiated with.

The 21 Coptic Christians were killed because they were Christians, and some people some of those most intimately affected by this evil were responding as Christians.

After committing himself to pray for those who suffer, Bishop Angaelos reminded Christians of the lesson of the witness of the 21 a number that became a standard avatar on Twitter in the wake of the murders.

There are geopolitical considerations and action to be taken in that sphere; there are charitable works to ontribute to; but there is also a lesson in what it is to be truly Christian that often seems the stuff of legend to us today, even as fellow countrymen of ours have dedicated their lives in radical sacrifice to love of God and service flowing from that love. As Bishop Angaelos put it: In the midst of this sorrow, however, we must continue to dig deeper for the joy that comes from an understanding that this life is but a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14), and that true glory and joy are found in an eternal life prepared for all those who live in and for love and peace. He continued: It is only through this understanding that we can continue to live according to the words of I Peter 3:15 as demonstrated in the life and witness of the Coptic Church and her children over centuries, . . . always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you. . . .

Besides fundamental matters of human rights and freedom, this is why cultures benefit from having Christians in their midst; this is why it is so urgent that they not be eradicated from the birthplace of Christianity: Christians who take their faith seriously are leaven.

Pope Francis emphasized this as he celebrated morning Mass for the Coptic martyrs: They were killed simply for the fact they were Christians. He echoed a theme of his own journey to the Holy Land last year: The blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a testimony which cries out to be heard. He went on to say, It makes no difference whether they be Catholics, Orthodox, Copts, or Protestants. They are Christians! And he added, The martyrs belong to all Christians.

The Christianity of the men who were martyred for their faith, is the most important aspect of the story, said Samuel Tadros, the author of a book on Christians in Egypt, Motherland Lost, and a senior fellow at the Hudson Institutes Center for Religious Freedom. ISIS gunmen chose these men from among other Egyptians living there because they were Copts, he said. This was no random choice. ISIS holds deep hostility to say the least towards Middle Eastern Christians. Its goal is quite simply the eradication of their existence.

The evil done to Milad Makeen Zaky, Abanub Ayad Atiya, Maged Solaiman Shehata, Yusuf Shukry Yunan, Kirollos Shokry Fawzy, Bishoy Astafanus Kamel, Somaily Astafanus Kamel, Malak Ibrahim Sinweet, Tawadros Yusuf Tawadros, Girgis Milad Sinweet, Mina Fayez Aziz, Hany Abdelmesih Salib, Bishoy Adel Khalaf, Samuel Alham Wilson, Ezat Bishri Naseef, Loqa Nagaty, Gaber Munir Adly, Esam Badir Samir, Malak Farag Abram, Sameh Salah Faruq, and one other man from the village of Awr is the most important news story of the pre-Oscars week, on a day that included an NBA All-Star game and Saturday Night Lives 40th-anniversary show. Would we would give it nearly as much attention. God have mercy on us if we dont.

Britain's Coptic Christian Community 'Scared to be in UK' after Libya killings

We are not fighting an invasion this ideology is already here, it is spreading like a cancer... To be frank this is only the tip of the iceberg. Unless the world unites, it will be a disaster for all of us. Coptic Christian in the UK

Among Britains Coptic Christians there was a sense of stupefied horror, as film of the murder of 21 Egyptian Copts, at the hands of Isis in Libya sent shock waves throughout the community.

The video of the mass beheading of the 21 prisoners in Libya was released on Sunday, but for days images of captives in regulation orange uniforms, paraded by black-clad gunmen had haunted the international community.

We have met this news with sorrow and disbelief although people saw this coming there was a hope that something could be done to change the outcome, said Bishop Angaelos, General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom. When it came it was so heartless and inhumane.

Angaelos, head of the orthodox Christian community in the UK, received a call from the prime minister, who expressed his condolences for the murder of the guest workers, who were kidnapped in Sirte, on Libyas coast, by Isis members in December and January. A video made of the murders titled a message signed in blood to the people of the cross, makes reference to the hostile Egyptian Church.

The prime minister focused on the fact that these actions are unacceptable by the principles we live by in this country, he said.

That may come of little consolation to UK Coptic Christians, most of whom have relatives in Egypt, some from the very same villages and provinces as the killed hostages.

Egyptian Coptic Christians are the largest Christian community in the Middle East, with an estimated 10-15 million members in Egypt around 10% of the population. Coptics follow an orthodox strand of Christianity which requires them to closely follow the churchs dogma, which includes fasting for some part of 210 days a year. They formed a community in the UK in the 60s, which now has around 20,000 members. Many of them are now living in fear, said Father Antonious Thabet, a priest at St Marks church in Kensington.

We are very scared, some people in my congregation have said they are scared to be in the UK these people are everywhere, he said. There is anger against leaders who did nothing. They have to do something, saying that we are sorry this had happened is not enough.

Special services will be held in Coptic churches throughout the UK this week, while peaceful demonstrations of solidarity are planned for the weekend. Magda Sakr, an Egyptian muslim who has lived in the UK for 20 years will be among the mourners.

People are trying to separate Christian and Muslims, but we are all Egyptian, she said, fighting back tears. These people have nothing to do with Islam, they are maniacs. This is not about religion, it is about standing up for humanity.

Her friend, Shenouda Shalaby, a doctor at Ealing hospital and a member of Father Antonious congregation, said the world needed to wake up. We are not fighting an invasion this ideology is already here, it is spreading like a cancer, he said. To be frank this is only the tip of the iceberg. Unless the world unites, it will be a disaster for all of us.

'The Nightmare' Europa and the Incubus

Europe, Britain and the West are pinned down by Sleep Paralysis beneath the weight of Islam and Muslim Immigration

by Ralph H. Sidway

The Nightmare, by Henry Fuseli (1781); a visual metaphor for the Incubus of Islam sitting astride the paralyzed, sleeping Europa.
Sometimes an image a metaphor is much more effective at presenting truth than even the most persuasive argument or laying out of facts.  'The Nightmare' is such an image.

Europeans may still have some dim collective memory of the Muslim conquest of the Iberian peninsula (Spain) in the early 8th century, of Islams nearly successful colonization of the rest of Western Europe (Gaul, etc.), of centuries of Muslim raids on Italy, of Muslim piracy and dominance in the Mediterranean Sea, of repeated Muslim attempts to invade Europe through the Balkans, and of the eventual fall of Constantinople in 1453, and of Turkish crimes against the Greeks during the 18th and 19th centuries and the Armenian Genocide in the early 20th.

Then there are the great, providential battles and movements which halted, turned back and expelled the Muslim invaders from the West: Charles Martel (the Hammer) and his victory in the Battle of Tours (732), the Reconquista of Spain, the valiant self-sacrifice of Tsar-Martyr Lazar and the Serbs at the Battle of Kosovo (1389), and the famous defense of Europe against the Ottoman Muslims at the Gates of Vienna in 1683.

Yet todays Europe seems completely moribund, ignoring both its own history as well as the history of Islamic expansion.

It is as if Europa and her Sisters (England, America, Canada, Australia, etc.) suffer from a nightmarish sleep paralysis like helpless maidens of old, the Islamic incubus pinning her down and completely sapping her will and strength to resist.

The British have all but surrendered already, turning a blind eye to Muslim rape gangs preying on thousands of British girls, trampling on freedom of speech by shutting down criticism of Islam, and advancing Sharia courts and Islamic finance systems. The realm which gave us the Magna Carta is behaving as if she may voluntarily raise the black flag of jihad over Buckingham Palace, a final token act of appeasement as the Islamic crocodile gnaws on Englands extremities.

The metaphor of the demonic Incubus (Islam) preying upon the paralyzed sleeper (Europa) is hardly a stretch, as this particular demon was believed to engage in sexual activity with its victim, trying to foster a hybrid human-demon child, and if unable to do that, then to bring about madness, demon possession, sickness and ultimately death to its host.

Does this not describe the horrific nightmare being played out in cities across Europe and England? Muslim immigration (the Incubus) literally penetrates Western societies (the Sleeper-Victim), creating hostile, alien enclaves which begin in embryonic form, but eventually give birth to hellish Shariah No-Go zones. By the time the somnambulant host begins to awaken, it has been driven nearly mad from its inner conflict between liberal freedoms and its weakened impulse to defend itself. A quick survey of the evil, supremacist behavior of Muslim populations in France, Sweden, Denmark, et al bear witness to this plague.

The great irony of this pathological societal inner conflict is that those enabling the destruction of Western civilization through advocating Muslim immigration and preferential treatment of Islam routinely demonize with the charge of Islamophobia those who see the dangers of Islam and dare to speak out against it. Those who willingly aid and abet the Incubus and gladly receive its demon seed accuse Christians and lovers of freedom of being demons.

The United States now seems at least to be trying to rouse herself from her political atonia (symptomized by the Obama administration scrubbing all national security directives from any reference to Islam, which inspires 90% of all terrorist acts worldwide), yet under this administration cannot and will not confront the actual root cause of Muslim terrorism and jihad, which is embedded in Islams DNA through the Quran and the example of Muhammad.

Americas problem thus seems to be less a case of paralysis, and more one of volition. For example, 4-star Admiral James Lyons, former Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, recently reported that the Muslim Brotherhood has penetrated (theres that word again) all of Obamas National Security agencies. And the Presidents Summit on Countering Violent Extremism actually includes as one of its partners the terrorist-and-ISIS-linked Islamic Society of Boston.

The Islamic State sees Europes paralysis and Americas moral and ideological disarray, hence its ever increasing boldness. And Muslims the world over see it too, hence reports that tens of thousands of Muslims from all around the globe, including from Western democracies, are streaming to the Levant to join the Islamic State, even as Muslim immigration into Western host societies continues to escalate.

Are we in the early stages of a long defeat, leading to the death of a once great civilization?

Unless paralyzed and catatonic Europa and her Sisters can shake off their sleep and throw off the Incubus pinning them down, the night looks long and the future dark indeed.

UK: Christian school 'downgraded for failing to invite an imam to lead assembly'

The collapse of formerly Christian Britain accelerates as forced Islamization of private, independent Christian schools is aggressively promoted by the UK government.

UK: Christian school 'downgraded for failing to invite an imam to lead assembly'
Jihad Watch October 19, 2014

Are any Islamic schools being downgraded for failing to invite Christian priests or ministers to lead assemblies? Doubtful in the extreme. In the wake of the Trojan Horse takeover plot of British state schools (see here, here, here, here and here), British authorities appear to have decided that the remedy is to further the Islamization of schools. They appear intent on rushing their nation toward civil strife and disintegration.

Christian school downgraded for failing to invite an imam to lead assembly,' by John Bingham, the Telegraph, October 19, 2014:

A successful Christian school has been warned it is to be downgraded by inspectors and could even face closure after failing to invite a leader from another religion, such as an imam, to lead assemblies, it is claimed.

The small independent school in the Home Counties was told it is in breach of new rules intended to promote British values such as individual liberty and tolerance in the wake of the Trojan Horse scandal, involving infiltration by hard-line Muslim groups in Birmingham.

Details of the case are disclosed in a letter to the Education Secretary, Nicky Morgan, from the Christian Institute, which is providing legal support to the school.

The group warned that the new rules intended to combat extremism are already having disturbing consequences for religious schools and forcing Ofsted inspectors to act in a way which undermines their ethos.

It follows complaints from orthodox Jewish schools about recent inspections in which girls from strict traditional backgrounds were allegedly asked whether they were being taught enough about lesbianism, whether they had boyfriends and if they knew where babies came from.

Role of religion in schools under pressure after Trojan Horse scandal
14 Aug 2014

In the latest case inspectors are understood to have warned the head that the school, which was previously rated as good that it would be downgraded to adequate for failing to meet standards requiring it to actively promote harmony between different faiths because it had failed to bring in representatives from other religions.

They warned that unless the school could demonstrate how it was going to meet the new requirements there would be a further full inspection which could ultimately lead to it being closed.

A Government consultation paper published in June, explaining the new rules, makes clear that even taking children on trips to different places of worship would not be enough to be judged compliant.

The Institute, which is already planning a legal challenge to the consultation, arguing that it was rushed through during the school holidays, fears that the new guidelines could be used to clamp down on the teaching of anything deemed politically incorrect on issues such as marriage.

Worryingly, evidence is already emerging of how the new regulations are requiring Ofsted inspection teams to behave in ways which do not respect the religious ethos of faith schools, Simon Calvert, deputy director of the Christian Institute, told Mrs Morgan.

The new requirements are infringing the rights of children, parents, teachers and schools to hold and practise their religious beliefs.

Listing recent cases involving criticism of Anglican, Roman Catholic and Jewish schools by Ofsted, he added: The Christian Institute is currently working with an independent Christian School which has been marked down by Ofsted for not promoting other faiths.

Astonishingly it was told it should invite representatives of other faith groups to lead assemblies and lessons, such as an Imam.

The wording of the regulations inevitably results in these kind of outcomes.

While we obviously support attempts to address the problem of radicalisation, the current regulations fail to do this.
