6 Tips To Boost Your Iman

0 Comments
Iman cannot be imposed on anyone. It can be chosen only. Once the state of iman is achieved then comes the stage to protect it. Iman can be protected by constantly boosting it. One can not be a muslim simply because he recited shahadah instead, one should give himself plenty of chances to protect and boost his iman. Iman boosters are all small acts of kindness and goodness which lead to higher degree of iman and taqwa. In this article, we will share some of the iman boosters which can change life a lot and very positively.

Smile, its Sunnah

Smile is by far the easiest thing to do. It's free of cost yet it can buy hearts. Our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh used to smile a lot. A smily face is the most liked face because it indicates friendly nature and kindness. Greeting family and friends as well as strangers with a warm gentle smile can really break the hard rocks. Therefore, the first thing on our list of imaan boosters in kind smile. Smiling is not just kindly but it is sadqa-e jariah in some cases. For example, a smile for parents is not only love but also sawab. So smile, its sunnah.

Kind speech

Next thing is kind speech. One who speaks kindly wins the hearts relatively easily. Those do not take care of their tone can never leave a good impression on others. Gentle talk, on the other hand, makes people believe about the gentle nature of the person. If you make people happy from you, you earn reward. But be careful, do not make people happy over wrong things, rather be objective and on the right path. Allah swt has instructed in Quran to be nice in speech;

16:125
Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious

prophet Muhammad pbuh said;

Abdullah ibn Masud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, He will not enter Hellfire who has in his heart a seeds weight of faith, and he will not enter Paradise who has in his heart a seeds weight of arrogance.
(Sahih Muslim 91)

Be Good

We all read incidents where some gentle and kind people help others and deal with every matter in best possible way and it impresses us a lot. If our iman can be boosted by just reading about such incidents, why can't we be part of them. So, whenever you find something which bothers you, be polite and good enough to respond it in best possible way. By just being reasonable at serious times, people find peace and tranquility in themselves. Allah swt has ordered us in Quran to do;

41:34
"And O prophet :goodness and evil are not equal. Repel evil with what is best. You will see that, he with whom you had enemity, has become your closest friend."

what a beautiful thing it is. Allah swt has told us very easy and simple thing to spread love and peace. It is done by just responding decently to the matter which need utmost careful dealing.

Help others

We all need help in one way or other. And when we receive help from someone unexpectedly, we love it and remember it always. So, helping others is another way to strengthten imaan. Mostly, people think that help only means monetary help. While monetary help has its own significance, but helping other morally is also important. Giving a good piece of advice, helping someone to do something right, giving some one a helping hand in markets or streets; they are all random acts of kindness and leave very good gesture. So help others as much as you can. The life time of our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh is the best example to follow in this regard.

Love each other for the sake of Allah

We all love our families, our friends and our relatives. But have it every occurred to you that our love is not just for those we live with. In fact, a Muslims love is for all. There is a very famous hadith which tells us the reward for this;

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,Allah will ask on the Day of Judgment: Where are those who loved each other for the sake of My glory? Today, on a day when there is no shade but Mine, I shall shade them with My shade. (Muslim)

Remember Allah

The most important thing of all is to remember Allah. No matter how much one becomes good, if he does not remember Allah, he does not earn anything. If Allah swt is remembered constantly at all times, then all the good things will come automatically. If Allah swt is feared all the time, then no evil will ever attract like is does normally. Allahh swt mentioned in Quran about those who remember Him;
3:191

Those who remember Allah (at all times) _ standing up, sitting down, and lying on their side, and those who ponder over the creation of the heaven and the earth (conclude), Our Lord, You did not create (all) this in vain (and to no avail). Exalted are You! Shield us from the fire (of hell).

Iman can be boosted will full willingness of body and soul. There are very small insignificant things around us which can be iman boosters because they contain a lot of good in them. May Allah swt make us His obedient servants. Amin.
