Seeking Help From The Dead?

0 Comments
Hundreds of thousands of people visit tombs and ask for help in their matters of life. But grave worshiping is a great sin and it is forbidden to ask anyone but Allah swt for help in any matter. Asking others means one does not have faith in Allah and this is plain shirk or kufr  in extreme cases.

We are all humans and none of us was ever given anything from divine authority. Even the messengers who were chosen ones, they never said that they could do miracles and help out of the way of Allah swt. No one could ever do anything which Allah swt did not will and no one will ever be able to do what Allah swt do no wish. No one has any knowledge other then what Allah swt let him know.

Even our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh said everything with the divine assistance. Nothing he said or did was out of his own wishes. This is the reason why His ( pbuh) personality is an excellent example for all of us to follow. There are many verses in Quran which indicate that Allah swt told Muhammad pbuh about all the questions he was asked. The following verses present the fact;
They ask you about the new moons. Say: these are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage.   2:186
They ask you (O Muhammad ) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit.  2:219
They ask you what they should spend. Say : whatever you spend of good.  2 : 215

They ask you what is lawful for them as food. Say : lawful unto you are all kinds of halal food.  5:4
All these verses indicate that Allah swt told prophet Muhammad pbuh everything he was asked about. These verses are a huge proof against those who seek help from those who claim to have knowledge of unseen or go to tombs where they seek help from dead.

There are yet other verses which bring more proofs of falsehood of seeking help from grave. The following verses say;
22:7 and because the Hour is coming, no doubt of it, and God shall raise up whosoever is within the tombs.
35:22 not equal are the living and the dead. God makes to hear whomsoever He will; thou canst not make those in their tombs to hear.
36:51 And the Trumpet shall be blown; then behold, they are sliding down from their tombs unto their Lord.
These verses indicate that on the day of Resurrection, every one will come out of graves and become alive from the state of dead. Thus, this further shuns the false claims of grave worshipers that people of grave are alive. The following hadith further disproves the false stance of grave worshipers.

Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 72, Number 706:
Narrated 'Aisha and 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas:
When the disease of Allah's Apostle got aggravated, he covered his face with a Khamisa, but when he became short of breath, he would remove it from his face and say, "It is like that! May Allah curse the Jews Christians because they took the graves of their prophets as places of worship." By that he warned his follower of imitating them, by doing that which they did.
Thus, what is neither proved by Quran nor proved by sunnah can never be part of islam. Still people persist to visit graves, offer alms and seek help from dead. They commit sin. Allah is the only one who approves the duas. He do not need any one's assistance or advice.
